Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha To Ngorongoro Crater Tanzania

After your breakfast, you will be picked at your hotel at 0830 Hrs. You will embark on your Tanzania Kenya safari proceeding West of Arusha and into the Great Rift Valley exit with a brief stopover at the view point for photos over the scenic lake Manyara and Tarangire Plains You will then drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a day crater tour with picnic lunch down into the crater. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque conservation area is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen there. After your picnic lunch, you will proceed with your game drive ascending the carter in the evening and to your camp inside the Ngorongoro Conservation area.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater To Serengeti National Park

After Breakfast, we will depart from the Ngorongoro Conservation area and start our Journey descending from the lush Ngorongoro Highlands towards the Conservation area and Serengeti Plains. We will have a leisure drive as we enjoy the plains arriving at the Naabi Gate in the Serengeti. After check in, we will start our game drive as we drive towards the Seronera area for game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. We will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the Centre in the shade of the giant acacia trees. In the afternoon we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti national Park.

Day 3: Serengeti Central To Northern Serengeti (Kogatende

Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous wildlife species roaming the Serengeti plains. The Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. You will drive into the central park area known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You will arrive in time for picnic lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Nark. You will drive westerly and north towards the Bologonja Region where the wildebeest will be congregating as they head south of the Serengeti. You will follow the herds as they cross from the Masai Mara to the Serengeti crossing the crocodile infested Mara Rive and the Gurumeti Rivers. You will arrive at your camp in the evening in time for a camp fire a drink as the sun sets over the vast Serengeti Plains Accommodation at Serengeti Mara River Camp.

Day 4 :Northern Serengeti ( Kogatende)

Enjoy a full day at Serengeti National Park. After an early morning breakfast, proceed to take an exciting morning drive in the Serengeti. We will follow the Migrating Wildebeest herds as the congregate towards the Mara River and chance on the epic crossings. This spectacle is followed closely by the predators. Wed will have our drives following the Mara River in search of the elusive leopard on the riverine forest belt. Serengeti National Park is renowned for being home to over 500 birds species like lovebirds, ostrich, vultures, Kori bastard etc. and over 4 million animals species like hyenas, African wild dogs, water bucks, Topi cheetahs plus many more. Apart from the animals and birds, you will also have the pleasure of viewing Serengeti’s scenic topography which comprises of Savannah plains, acacia trees, river line bushes, rivers and scrubs. Drive back to your camp for dinner and a evening drink around the fireplace. Accommodation at River Camp Serengeti.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti Tanzania To Masai Mara Kenya

After an early breakfast, you will bid the camp staff goodbye and embark on your journey towards the Kenya border at Isebania. You will have picnic lunch en route arriving at Isebania border early afternoon. After the customs and visa formalities, you will meet up with your driver who will pick you up and drive after visa clearance you will embark on your journey towards Masai Mara driving through farmland and into the scenic Ololoolo escarpment which marks the boundary of the Masai Mara. This is probably one of Kenya’s most visited reserve with an extraordinary density of animals including the Big five and many other varieties of plains game. The Mara River cuts through the Mara and Serengeti Eco systems giving life to the both reserves before finally pouring out into the Lake Victoria. Impressive and most notable is the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle instinct led migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Mara in Kenya. This journey is coupled by numerous obstacles which makes it even more magnificent. You will have a game drive en route as you drive through the vast plains of the Mara. You will drive to your lodge in time for dinner and overnight at the Mara.

Day 6 :On Safari At Masai Mara, Kenya

You will have early breakfast leaving your camp early morning. You will have a game drive along the Mara River as you look for the Big Cats and other predators. You will return to your camp mid-morning for hot lunch and an afternoon rest before driving out in the evening for a game drive. Return to your camp in the evening in time for dinner.

Day 7 :Masai Mara To Nairobi

You will have breakfast and depart from your camp in the Masai Mara with a game drive en route. You will exit the Mara reserve and start your drive towards Nairobi. You will stop for hot lunch at Ubuntu Restaurant and continue to Nairobi where you will be dropped at the JKIA in time for your afternoon flight.
