The ecosystem mainly savannah grassland spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species including Lions, Cheetahs, Zebras, and Wildebeest among others. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Located at the foot of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is home to a wealth of wildlife and particularly huge herds of elephants. Relax after lunch and start the evening game viewing drive at the late afternoon returning to lodge at dusk. Arrive in Amboseli National Park in time for lunch and your afternoon game drive.
Day 2: On Safari At Amboseli National Park Kenya
Day 3: Amboseli Kenya To Lake Manyara Tanzania
Day 4 :Lake Manyara To Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you will depart from your camp and drive into the Lake Manyara National Park for your game drive. Despite the rather small strip of Land, Lake Manyara National park won’t let you down when it comes to wildlife spotting. There are over 500 bird species. Flamingos dot the lake surface, joined by a myriad of other water birds that are best spotted at the end of the dry season. The most astonishing encounter at Lake Manyara in the forest is the silvery cheeked Hornbill and the palm nut vulture. All the large animals that roam the grassy flood plains are resident or migratory in or transiting the lake Manyara region. Although Lion, spotted Hyena serval, caracal, Leopard and Cheetah are more prolific in other parks, keeping an eye up will reap great sightings here. The narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favorite den for the Lake Manyara Tree Climbing Lions. The reason behind this peculiar behaviour still remains a mystery to date. You will exit the Lake Manyara National park at approximately 1130 Hours driving up the Rift valley escarpment and into the Karatu region for Lunch. After lunch, you will proceed towards the Ngorongoro Crater rim and further towards the Serengeti arriving at Serengeti in time for your evening game drive en route to your camp. Arrive at your camp in time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5&6 : On Safari At Serengeti National Park
Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages. We do an after breakfast game viewing drive along the Segore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. We will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the Centre in the shade of the giant acacia trees. In the afternoon we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink! Dinner and overnight at Serengeti National Park for the two days
Day 7 :Serengeti To Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, we will depart our camp and start a game drive en route as we head for the Ngorongoro Conservation area. We will descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. We will later exit the crater and drive towards the Ngorongoro Highlands arriving at our lodge in the evening as the sun sets over the Horizon.
Day 8 :Ngorongoro To Tarangire
We will have early morning breakfast and depart from the Ngorongoro Highlands driving towards the Tarangire. We will stop at Mto wa Mbu for a morning cultural tour and hot lunch. We will then drive into the Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive. We will have a game drive en route to our camp at Tarangire.
Day 9 :Tarangire To Arusha Tanzania
After an early breakfast we will depart camp and drive to the Tarangire National park for our half day game drive. We will have an extensive game drive in the Tarangire national Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. We will have picnic hot lunch and exit the park as we start our drive back to Arusha where the safari ends.
