Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Dar Es Salaam To Ruaha National Park
Your Southern flying safari to Ruaha Tanzania starts with pickup at your Hotel in Dar Es Salaam/Zanzibar for your flight to Ruaha. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight out departing in the morning. You will fly towards the great rift valley flying into the Ruaha National park arriving at Ruaha. You will be met upon arrival at Ruaha by your driver guide who will pick you and drive you towards your camp in Ruaha. You will have a wildlife game drive as you head to the camp. You will arrive at the camp in time for lunch and an afternoon sunset game drive. You will drive out of the camp in search of Lions, Elephants, Wild dogs, Buffalo among other mammals and birdlife at Ruaha. Return to the camp as the sun sets in time for dinner and overnight stay. Meals Included – Lunch Dinner.
Day 2: On Safari At Serengeti National Park.
You will have early breakfast and depart camp for a full day game drive at Ruaha. The Ruaha is a vast savannah dotted with mighty baobabs, hills and rocky outcrops and its river valleys full of palm trees. This kaleidoscope of life makes the Ruaha an exceptionally beautiful park. The entire cast of the Tanzania savannah and wildlife is on show here. The Ruaha combines acacia savannah of East Africa and the Miombo woodland of Southern Africa. There is an unusually high diversity of these species. With a thriving herd of Kudu, Ruaha is also home to the Roan and Sable antelopes. Ruaha also has a relatively healthy population of big cats with the Lions in abundance. Wild dogs are also found at Ruaha and this remains an important refuge of this species. With the varied three habitats, Ruaha has a rich variety of avian life. Over 550 different bird species have been recorded here. You will have picnic lunch and continue with your game drive returning to the camp in the evening as the sun sets over the Ruaha wilderness landscape. Dinner and overnight at your camp. Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 3: On Safari At Ruaha National Park.
After an early breakfast, you will depart camp and enjoy a half day game drive within the Ruaha national park. You will be on the lookout for the Wild dogs, Lions, Leopards, Elephants as you follow the Riverine belt where the Wildlife come to drink. You will return to camp for lunch and an afternoon relaxing with the amazing views or the Ruaha landscape. You will have another game drive in the evening as the sun sets over the landscape. You will return to camp in the evening in time for dinner and overnight rest at your camp. Meals Included – Breakfast Lunch & Dinner.
Day 4: Ruaha To Dar Es Salaam
After an early breakfast, you will check out from your camp and start your last game drive at Ruaha. You will later on be dropped at the airstrip for your flight out of Ruaha national park and back to Dar Es Salaam or Zanzibar where the safari ends. Meals Included – Breakfast.
