Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Entebbe
Your Ugandan journey starts with touch down at the Entebbe International Airport where you will be received by a Features Africa Representative. There will be a short briefing on your Uganda Safari before transferring to the Kampala Serena Hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 2: Murchison Falls
Day 3: Murchison Falls
After breakfast, depart your camp for a game drive on the northern banks of the majestic Nile. Wildlife is abundant in this area and your guide will help you look out for the resident species. Lions, Giraffes, Antelopes and various bird species can be found here. After Lunch, you will have a scheduled boat ride on the Nile for game viewing. As you approach the bottom of the waterfall, you will disembark the boat and follow a nature trail to the top of the fall where you will enjoy amazing sweeping scenic views of the Nile. You will then embark on your journey to the Budongo Eco Lodge for your Overnight stay. All meals included.
Day 4 :Kibale Forest
Depart the Murchison after breakfast headed for the Kibale Forest national Park. This is scenic drive as you enjoy the stunning views passing through small villages and markets. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the “Mountains of the Moon” with endless tea plantations. Continue into the dense Kibale Forest arriving at the Kibale Primate Lodge in the early evening . Dinner and overnight is at the lodge.
Day 5 :Kibale Forest Crater Lakes
Your safari kicks off after breakfast as you head out to explore the various crater lakes. Soak in the beauty and diverse culture the region has to offer. You will embark on a hike at the Lake Nkuruba where you will encounter the different species of Primates and bird in the area. Proceed towards the Mahoma Falls and visit the forest villages to interact with the Batoro tribe. Return to your lodge in the early afternoon for a leisure rest. All meals and overnight will be at the Kibale Primate Lodge.
Day 6 :Kibale Forest & Bigodi Swamp
Depart the lodge, after breakfast, and head out to track the Chimpanzees of Kibale Forest. Kibale forest is reputed for having the highest concentration and variety of primates in East Africa. You will be treated to an interesting nature walk in the tropical rain forest in search of the Wild Chimps; Red tailed Monkey, black and White Colobus monkey among other primates. Break for your picnic lunch before transferring to the Bigodi Swamp-a renowned community initiative with diverse bird and primate species. After your excursion at Bigodi, you will head back to the Kibale Primate Lodge for meals and overnight.
Day 7 :Queen Elizabeth
Start the day with an early morning excursion to the nearby Ruwenzori Mountains after breakfast. Enjoy your guided walk on the foothills of the mountains learning more about the region its beauty and the inhabitants. Proceed to the Queen Elizabeth National park for more scenic adventures. Dinner and overnight will be at the Ishasha Wilderness Camp.
Day 8 :Queen Elizabeth
Your day starts with an early morning game drive after breakfast. You will venture out to the breeding grounds for the Uganda Kob in search of Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, among other resident wildlife of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Return to the camp for lunch and an afternoon rest. You will be treated to a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel after Lunch. The Kazinga channel is a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. It is home to numerous species of bird and mammals notably Elephants, Buffaloes, and hundreds of Hippos that can be seen cooling off on the shore. This is a safari highlight and not to be missed safari experience. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight stay at the Ishasha Wilderness Camp.
Day 9 :Bwindi South, Lake Mutanda
This day you will depart the scenic Queen Elizabeth National Park and head for the south west. The scenic drive takes you through the breathtaking shores of Lake Mutanda. Arrive at the Lake Mutanda resort for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 10 :Bwindi Gorilla Tracking
The Bwindi Gorilla Tracking provides you with one of the major highlights of the Uganda Gorilla safari where you will meet the gentle giants of Bwindi – The Gorillas. You will walk through the thrilling terrain before encountering the Gorillas deep in the rainforest. The special Gorilla trackers and rangers who will help you interact with the magnificent primates. Return to your resort for a well-deserved evening with dinner and overnight at the Lake Mutanda Resort.
Day 11 :Bwindi – Batwa Trail
You will be treated to Batwa Trail which is a unique interaction with some of the most interesting cultures of the World. Batwa pygmies are a forest dwellers displaced from the rainforest they shared with the Gorillas. This experience will give you the opportunity to learn more about their age-old culture while you enjoy a hike with the Batwa Guides. See how they lived and hunted, hear ancient legends and learn more about the medicinal plants they use for common ailments. Return to the Lake Mutanda resort for dinner and overnight.
Day 12 :Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will depart lake Mutanda region for the Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa. Enjoy scenic sightings enroute arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy an optional afternoon hike that leads to the peak of the Kyabahinga peninsula with breathtaking views over the sweeping Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight will be at the Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort.
Day 13 :Kampala
